Keep swarf, coolant and workshop dirt out of unused CNC machine locating holes.
These CNC machine bed plugs cover unused precision locating holes—also known as dowel holes, tooling holes or fixture-location holes—on CNC milling machine beds and tables.
Available sizes:
6mm, 8mm, 10mm, 12mm, 16mm and 20mm
Precision locating holes are used with ground dowel pins and locating components to position vices, fixtures and workholding equipment accurately and repeatedly. When left uncovered, these holes can quickly collect swarf, metal chips, coolant, cutting oil and workshop dirt.
Once this contamination becomes compacted, it can be difficult and time-consuming to remove. These push-fit plugs provide a simple way to keep unused holes covered, clean and ready for future use.

Compatibility and fitting
Select the plug size that matches the nominal diameter of your machine’s locating holes. Hole dimensions and tolerances can vary between machine manufacturers, models and individual machines.
Please accurately measure your locating holes before ordering. Compatibility with every machine containing the stated nominal hole size cannot be guaranteed.
For the best result, measure the internal diameter of a clean locating hole using a vernier calliper or suitable measuring equipment.
These plugs are protective covers only and are not precision locating components. Remove them before inserting dowel pins, fixtures or workholding equipment.
